Aramco’s greenhouse gas ( GHG ) emissions management program accounts for the direct Scope 1 and indirect Scope 2 emissions from wholly owned and operated assets.
Our reporting is consistent with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol guidelines, and is based on the World Resources Institute (WRI) and World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) GHG Protocol guidelines.
Moreover, we are engaged in advanced research and development programs created to reduce emissions in our Upstream, refinery, and chemicals operations, and in end-use applications.
