Saudi Arabian Oil Company (“Saudi Aramco”), each of its subsidiaries and affiliates and the companies in which Saudi Aramco directly and indirectly owns investments are separate legal entities.

Unless otherwise stated, or the context otherwise requires, the terms “Saudi Aramco” and “Aramco” or “we”, “us”, and “our” are used for convenience to refer to Saudi Aramco or one or more of its subsidiaries, affiliates, or the companies in which Saudi Aramco directly and indirectly owns investments.

“Saudi Aramco”, “Saudi Aramco Group”, “Aramco Group” and “Group” are sometimes used for convenience where references are made to Saudi Arabian Oil Company and its subsidiaries in general. Likewise, the words “we”, “us” and “our” are also used to refer to Aramco companies and the companies in which Aramco directly and indirectly owns investments in general or to those who work for them. These expressions are also used where no useful purpose is served by identifying the particular entity or entities.

“Subsidiaries”, “Aramco subsidiaries” and “Aramco companies” refer to entities over which Saudi Arabian Oil Company either directly or indirectly has control. Entities and unincorporated arrangements over which Aramco has joint control are generally referred to as “joint ventures” and “joint operations”, respectively. “joint ventures” and “joint operations” may be collectively referred to as “joint arrangements”. Entities over which Aramco has significant influence but neither control nor joint control are referred to as “associates”.

The term “Aramco interest” is used for convenience to indicate the direct or indirect ownership interest held by Aramco in an entity or unincorporated joint arrangement, after exclusion of all third-party interest.
