Last review date June 15 2025
At Aramco, our dedication to a digitally inclusive experience for all, including individuals with disabilities, is reflected in our ongoing efforts to align with the current accessibility standards. We follow the WCAG 2.1 AA standards issued by The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), which are guidelines designed to help organizations enhance web content accessibility and ensure a user-friendly experience for everyone.
Compatibility and assistive technology
Aramco.com is compatible with browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari, and uses the following web technologies in order to interact with assistive technologies or any relevant plugins installed on your computer:
- HTML
- WAI-ARIA (the Accessible Rich Internet Applications Suite)
- CSS
- JavaScript
We strive to ensure our users can:
- View the website in both portrait and landscape orientation on smaller screen sizes such as mobile devices
- Zoom in without the text overlapping, for most content
- Listen to most of the content using a screen reader such as JAWS or NVDA
- Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
Organizational efforts towards accessibility
Aramco continues to work on fostering an inclusive environment for people with disabilities across all our diverse business lines. Initiatives such as the Disability Inclusion Program work to provide support, and enhance accessibility practices across the built, digital, and learning environments, as well as in our employment and onboarding services, and throughout our organizational culture.
Aramco is currently a member of The Valuable 500, a global business partnership of 500 companies working together to end disability exclusion. Membership in organizations like this helps facilitate easy access to wider knowledge and best practices.
Aramco is also a member of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) to support our accessibility upskilling initiatives. IAAP is a division of the Global Initiative for Inclusive Information Communication Technologies, and advocacy initiative by the UN Global Alliance for ICT and Development. This membership provides access to training materials and webinars through a global network of accessibility professionals.
